Overview

Mardi Himal trekking offers beautiful Himalayan views of whole Annapurna Himalayan range, beautiful valley, mixed Nepalese culture follow through Annapurna trekking trails. We Polar Trekking organize both options Mardi Himal trip; just Mardi Himal base camp trekking or Mardi Himal climbing trip. Mardi Himal is located in the east of the Modi Khola, across the valley from Hiunchuli. It is separated from Machhapuchhre ridge by a col. And usual route of ascent reaches this col (about 5,200m. /17,060 ft.) and reaches the summit via a route on its east flank. The climb begins by heading steeply towards the col on the connecting ridge between Mardi Himal and Machhapuchhre.

Mardi Himal trekking begins at Phedi, Dhampus after an hour’s drive from Pokhara. We ascend through Gurung villages and pristine oak and rhododendron forest to an alpine campsite that affords close-up dramatic scenery of sacred Mt. Machapuchare, Mardi Himal, and Annapurna range. We Polar Trekking guide leads through the beautiful valley of Dhampus, Pothana, Deurarli, Kokar,(forest camp) Low camp, and finally, reach Mardi Himal high camp. If trekkers/mountaineers prefer to climb Mardi Himal, the following our climbing guide will take to you the Mardi Himal summit or if it is only Mardi Himal trekking, then the trail continues to descend Siding village, Lwang, and Hyamja then drive back to Pokhara.

Itinerary

Upon arrival in Pokhara, you'll check in to your hotel and have some free time to explore the lakeside area

After breakfast, you'll drive to Kande and start your trek towards Deurali. You'll pass through several small villages and forests along the way, with stunning views of the Annapurna range in the distance.

Today's trek will take you through dense forests of oak, maple, and rhododendron. Keep an eye out for wildlife such as musk deer and various bird species.

The trail today is relatively easy and gradually ascends towards Low Camp, offering beautiful views of Machhapuchhre (Fishtail) and Mardi Himal.

Today's trek is a bit more challenging as you climb up to High Camp, passing through alpine meadows and encountering some steep sections of the trail.

Today you'll take a day hike to Mardi Himal Base Camp to get a closer look at the stunning peak and surrounding mountains. You'll return to High Camp for the night.

After breakfast, you'll descend back down to Forest Camp, taking in the scenery you may have missed on the way up.

Today's trek takes you through several Gurung villages and terraced farmland. You'll end the day in Lwang, a traditional Gurung village.

After breakfast, you'll drive back to Pokhara and have the rest of the day free to relax or explore the lakeside area.

You'll depart Pokhara and head to the airport or bus station for your onward travel.
